Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol have identified the woman killed in a fatal crash on U.S. 41 Monday.
Troopers say 63-year old Catherine Akins of Ruskin was killed after running the red light at 41 and Veterans Boulevard, then colliding with a truck driven by a 60-year old Rotonda West man.
He remains in critical condition at Lee Memorial Hospital.
