Officials with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of an armed bank robbery that happened Wednesday.
Deputies were called to BB&T Bank in Venice around 1:30 p.m. A witness told police the suspect showed a handgun while demanding cash, before fleeing on foot.
He is described as a white male between 40 and 50 years old, wearing a cowboy hat, jeans and a button-down shirt.
