Both the North Port Police Department and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office are asking the public for any information they have in the death of Trent Bartol-Thomas. Crews were out in a pond along Biscayne Drive on Monday after getting a tip that there may be evidence underwater. Bartol-Thomas was shot and killed last month in a shooting on Porto Chico Avenue. Witnesses said two masked men came inside the home, and a fight broke out prior to the shooting. Those men then fled in a silver minivan- one person has already been arrested.
