The Florida House of Representatives will take up a bill that allows public school students to transfer to other public schools or receive private school scholarships if they are bullied or harassed. The House PreK-12 Innovation Subcommittee is scheduled will Wednesday to give the ‘bullying’ bill its first hearing. Under the legislation, students and parents would first report bullying and other incidents to their current school. After 15 days, they will have the option to move to other public schools or a private school if a scholarship is received.
