The Venice Utilities Department is asking residents and properties within City limits to conserve water. They are asking that residents reduce the amount of toilet flushes as much as possible during the ongoing rains. Since Saturday, the City has received approximately 5 inches of rain. The City of Venice Public Works is now providing sand, bags and shovels at Flamingo Drive and Gardenia Drive on the island of Venice, off Harbor Drive, for any residents needing sandbags.
