A tip phoned in to Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of a man wanted in connection with an armed convenience store robbery in Punta Gorda. Back in May, police say Richard Emil Dickman went into a Circle K on Tamiami Trail, told the clerk he had a gun, demanded two bags full of cash, then ordered the employee into a bathroom while he escaped. Dickman was arrested Tuesday near Irvine, California, south of Los Angeles. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers will give the tipster a $1,000 reward.
