A 55-year-old Venice man has been arrested after police say he impersonated a police officer during a road rage incident. A report from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says Curtis Walma was driving recklessly and eventually cut a car off, then blocked the entrance to their subdivision. Walma then allegedly ordered the people in the other car to get out, saying he was a police officer and had a weapon. He then threw something at the other car, damaging a door, then drove off. He was arrested Saturday night and charged with Impersonating a Police Officer and Criminal Mischief.
