Testimony gets underway today in a high-profile Charlotte County murder trial. Prosecutors say Michael Russo shot and killed 18-year-old Kyle Farishian two years ago in a botched robbery attempt at a Punta Gorda 7-Eleven and then set him on fire. Jury selection was Tuesday, which took several hours. Attorneys on both sides were worried they wouldn’t be able to find a large enough group of people who were unfamiliar with the case. The trial officially gets underway this morning at 830.
