A semi truck driver from North Port is lucky to be alive after his trailer was hit by a train in central Pennsylvania. 62-year old Victor Fernandez was driving on a state route in Tyrone, about an hour west of Penn State University, when his trailer was hit by a freight train. Local police say Fernandez was driving on a section of road where commercial vehicles are prohibited. He was taken to an area hospital with injuries to his back or neck.
