Four areas of Port Charlotte will see extra police next week. A release from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Thursday said deputies will be paying special attention to traffic enforcement in these areas based upon citizen complaints, traffic crash statistics, and speed studies.
Drivers should especially slow down in the areas of Murdock Circle and Kings Highway. Traffic light enforcement will be amped up near US 41 and Murdock Circle as well as at Kings Highway and Veterans Blvd. That special enforcement period is scheduled all next week during the week of April 24-28.
