Nokomis is getting a new Dollar General store. Permits filed late last week show that the company plans to build a new, 7,500-square-foot store at a cost of $400,000.
The store wil be at a now-vacant lot at 360 Laurel Road just east of U.S. 41.
As of February, Dollar General had more than 13,000 stores in 43 states. The Nokomis store is part of a expansion plan by Dollar General, and will be one of around 1,000 new stores set to open this year.
