“Preserving Our Past–Preparing For Our Future.” That’s how the city of Venice is billing its 2017 to 2027 draft comprehensive plan. The comprehensive plan is a planning document required of local governments by the State of Florida. The idea is to provide a vision for the community over the next decade, addressing various aspects of growth and how it impacts the quality of life in Venice. City residents will have a chance to provide input at two public workshops. One on Monday, March 13th at 4 PM and the other on Thursday, March 16th at 1:30 PM.
