An Englewood woman has been arrested for shooting her boyfriend. The incident occurred early in the morning of November 18th. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says that 51-year-old Jeanne Martelli called 911 and told a dispatcher–quote–“I just shot my boyfriend because he was attacking me.” But her boyfriend denied the story and detectives say there was no evidence of a fight or that Martelli was attacked. Martelli is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and is being held at the Sarasota County Jail without bond.
