A man died this morning in a crash in Punta Gorda.
The highway patrol says he crashed his flatbed truck into a tree on Burnt Store Road.
WFTX-TV has identified him as 24-year-old Robert Campbell, Jr. of Venice.
The crash did not involve any other vehicles.
Burnt Store shut down completely for three hours between Scham Road and Tern Bay Boulevard.
The crash diverted traffic to Route 41 during that time.
