A gas leak briefly closed the South Jetty by Anita’s Sandcastle in Venice yesterday.
Fire rescue and police responded to the propane leak on Tarpon Center Drive. Special operations from the county soon followed.
Fifty people evacuated from Humphris Park at the jetty and Anita’s.
No one reported any injuries.
