A 43-year-old Texas man will spend the rest of his life in prison after a judge revoked the deferred sentence he received just months earlier. Michael Lee Green was placed on 10 years of deferred adjudication in March 2025, a sentence that depended on him following court-ordered supervision. When he failed to report to a community correction facility, he was arrested again in July, and Judge Dee Johnson of Randall County’s 47th District Court revoked the arrangement on Friday. Green received life on each of the 10 child pornography counts against him.
The case began in November 2024 with a tip from Oklahoma Predator Prevention, a civilian advocacy group that reports suspected offenders. The Amarillo Police Department’s Special Victims Unit investigated, and a forensic exam of Green’s phone uncovered more than 50 depictions or videos involving minors. The revocation hearing weighed both the original evidence and the jail charge for unauthorized absence from a community correction facility.
For Suncoast listeners keeping an eye on cases like this, the lesson is straightforward. Deferred adjudication is a conditional deal, and breaking the conditions can reopen the entire matter, sentence included. Civilian tip groups also continue to play a growing role in launching investigations long before a formal complaint is filed.
