Four years after a large costume party on Harney Road ended in gunfire, Hillsborough County deputies are asking the public once more to help solve the killing of a 15-year-old girl. Deputies responded to the scene on Nov. 1, 2022, after reports of shots fired. Investigators say an argument broke out before the shooting, which killed the teenager and wounded a 19-year-old man who survived.
The sheriff’s office says several people who attended the party have never come forward, leaving a cloud of silence around a night that dozens of people witnessed. Sheriff Chad Chronister says the family’s grief has not faded in four years. The case remains an active investigation, and deputies are hoping one call from someone who has held back can change everything.
