An Alabama state representative and the president of the Satsuma City School Board were booked into the Escambia County Detention Center on October 2nd on human trafficking charges, according to Sheriff Heath Jackson. Representative Brett Easterbrook, who serves District 65, faces first-degree human trafficking and prostitution charges. School board president Kory Wesley faces first-degree human trafficking and a charge of attempting to elude a police officer.

Both men were released within 30 minutes of booking, and no bond information was listed at the time. Court appearance dates have not been announced.
