Deputies say his injuries preliminarily appear self-inflicted, but that is not the official word. The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death, and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The sheriff’s Public Affairs Office says additional information will be released as it becomes available, which means the timeline and the details around supervision are still largely undisclosed.
