Sarasota adults looking for a new hobby, a career skill, or just a reason to get out of the house this fall have more than 400 options through the ACE program at Suncoast Technical College. Fall 2026 registration is officially open, and roughly 100 of those classes are brand new, including artificial intelligence, smartphone photography, American Sign Language, and women’s self-defense.
The semester runs September 28 through December 12, with day, evening, and weekend schedules available. Most classes meet at 4748 Beneva Road in Sarasota, with some sessions held at other locations. Prices start at just $29, and the program has been serving Sarasota County adults 18 and older for more than 50 years. According to program manager Danelle Gilberti, the arts draw the biggest crowds, with painting, drawing, ceramics, mosaics, and dance leading enrollment, while culinary arts and pickleball remain perennial favorites.
Registration is open online, by phone, or in person, and stays open until classes fill.
