A tragic accident on Beaver Lake in Arkansas has claimed the life of Alla Barry, a 74-year-old biology professor at Missouri Southern State University. Barry was swimming near War Eagle Marina on Friday when she was struck by a boat. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission reports that the area where the collision occurred is narrow and sees heavy boat traffic, a combination that can turn dangerous quickly. Barry died from her injuries, and the incident is currently under investigation.
