A nine-week-old Shih Tzu puppy named Zima is missing after being stolen from a Petland store in Strongsville, Ohio on Monday afternoon. Surveillance video shows a woman calmly walking out of the store with the puppy, which carried a $5,800 price tag. The store has filed a police report and is pleading for Zima’s safe return.
Regional animal care manager Amy Parker says her main concern is the puppy’s health. “Bring her back. We provide proper care for her; we know her pattern of eating, we know how much she eats every day, we know potential risks with the small breed puppies.” Parker is asking the thief to do the right thing and return Zima before any harm comes to her.
Strongsville Police are investigating and are asking anyone who recognizes the woman in the surveillance video to contact them at 440-580-3230.
