Taco Bell is turning a health scare into a dollar deal. On Tuesday, July 28, the chain is offering its Mexican Pizza for just $1 following a cyclosporiasis outbreak linked to shredded iceberg lettuce. The pizza comes beef, beans, and cheese between flour tortillas with diced tomatoes — but no lettuce. The promotion is a one-day-only offer, limited to one per order.
Normally priced between $5.39 and $6.99, this deal saves you nearly five dollars. Taco Bell Rewards members can also grab a $1 drink through the app to complete the meal. The company ran a similar promotion on July 22 with a $1 Enchirito, so this appears to be a pattern of bargain-driven crisis management.
For Suncoast locals watching their wallets, this is an easy win. Whether you’re stopping by the Taco Bell near the Ringling Museum or grabbing a quick bite before a spring training game, today’s the day to cash in. Have you tried the lettuce-free Mexican Pizza yet? Let us know in the comments.
