Attention, Ohara residents! Mark your calendars because from May 11th to May 15th, you’re going to want to drink up and plan ahead. Daily water service interruptions are on the horizon, lasting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. This interruption is due to some vital connection work for a new water main, which promises to improve services in the long run. However, it leaves many residents scrambling for alternatives.
Those affected include several streets such as Herman Circle, Briggs Circle, and Henneman Circle, among others. It’s a long list, and if you live in these areas, it’s probably a good time to trade in that fancy tap water for some solid bottled supplies. But don’t get too comfortable just yet! Once the water pressure returns, residents will also be under a precautionary boil water notice until tests ensure their water is safe for normal use.
Inconvenience aside, it’s a part of progress—or at least that’s what we’ll tell ourselves while we queue up at the nearest store. Have a plan in place, keep those water bottles stocked, and remember: a little inconvenience can mean a lot of convenience down the road! What’s your go-to life hack during a water outage?
