Sarasota County Opens Raincheck Application Period

Sarasota County is now accepting applications for its Raincheck Rebate Program beginning today, October 1, through June 1.

The program encourages homeowners to take on small-scale, do-it-yourself projects that improve water quality and stormwater filtration. Eligible projects include rain gardens and downspout planters, which help absorb water, provide natural filtration, and create attractive new habitats.

Participants may qualify for a rebate from the county for completing approved projects.
