Boots vs. Badges Blood Drive Returns to North Port July 12
North Port, FL – It’s firefighters versus police officers in a friendly competition with a lifesaving mission. The annual Boots vs. Badges Blood Drive is back in North Port this Saturday, July 12th, from 9 AM to 2 PM at North Port City Green, located at 4970 City Hall Blvd.
Organized in partnership with SunCoast Blood Centers, the event pits the North Port Fire Department (Team Boots) against the North Port Police Department (Team Badges) to see which team can rally the most blood donors from the community. Each donation acts as a vote for the team of your choice, with the winning team earning the coveted trophy—and bragging rights for the year.
Beyond the competition, the event plays a vital role in supporting local patients in need. All blood collected will stay in the community, helping save lives across Southwest Florida.
In addition to giving back, donors will enjoy several perks. According to the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, each donor will receive a free wellness check, eligibility screening, and may receive up to $60 in e-gift cards. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can register in advance through SunCoast Blood Centers’ online donor portal.
The event promises to be fun for the whole family, with emergency vehicles on display and local vendors adding to the community spirit.
