Three people, one of whom has been confirmed as a Venice resident, were killed in a plane crash in Georgia this afternoon. Witnesses say the Cessna Citation business jet, which was on a flight from Venice Regional AIrport to Macon, Georgia, crashed and burned in a field next to the Macon airport this afternoon. Georgia State Patrol troopers say the pilot was a full-time resident of Venice. The identities of the three victims has not yet been released. Cause of the crash is unknown.
