A second north-south traffic connector for south Sarasota County. It’s on the way now that the city council in Venice has decided to utilize road impact fees on the eastern-most route proposed for the Jacaranda Boulevard extension. Property owned by C-N-L Bank was chosen for the project due to its proximity to Fire Station three, which houses the Venice city communications center. It’s also near Jacaranda Boulevard, which is a major hurricane evacuation route. The extension will cost about six million dollars in city funds.
