Three repeat offenders were arrested outside a local Kohl’s, after authorities say they hid more than 5-hundred dollars in shoes in a baby stroller and left without paying.

The Port Charlotte trio arrested were Sara Lynn Landis, Michael Paul Anderson, and Adam James Shartle. Deputies say the three were seen by Kohl’s security on Wednesday evening stealing seven pair of shoes and putting them in the baby stroller with Landis’18-month old baby boy. When Kohl’s employees tried to stop them in the parking lot, the trio got into a car, yanking the baby from the stroller and throwing him, literally, into the car. The left after throwing a pair of shoes at the security guard, hitting him. In addition to the theft charges filed against all three, Landis faces a child abuse charge. Her son is with his grand parents right now.
