The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office will be stepping up traffic enforcement in a few areas this week. Speed enforcement will be conducted along the entire length of Gulfstream Blvd in Englewood and Edgewater Drive in Port Charlotte. Sheriff’s Deputies will be paying specific attention to stopping and other activity at US 41 and Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte, as well at McCall Road and Sunnybrook Road in Englewood. So far this year, 11 people have died on Charlotte County roads.
