Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies say an argument at a Port Charlotte bar led to a drive-by shooting that injured three people. It happened shortly before 2am yesterday on US-41 near the intersection of Elkcam Blvd. Deputies don’t say what the nature of the argument was. After leaving the bar, one carload of people was a short distance away when another car pulled up next to them and someone fired several shots into the car. Three occupants were hit by bullets; one was airlifted to a Fort Myers hospital, where officials say the person’s condition is now stable. The other two people were taken to a local hospital and have since been released. Names of the shooting victims have not been released.
