Four people went into the Dillard at Town Center Mall on Wednesday and apparently pilfered several purses. They left in a car and the alleged theft went down just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Just after the four fled, deputies caught up with them and pulled them over in a parking lot. The deputies said they saw the purses in the back of the car and the purses were valued at about 16 hundred dollars. The driver was IDed as Matthew Akeem Middleton of Punta Gorda who faces more than just driving the getaway charges. The other three are Rodrika Randolph, Joshua Montoya Adkins and Robert Allen Clifton, and they all face grand theft charges.
