The two North Port Police officers, a man and a woman, suspended last week, are under investigation for allegedly handcuffing a woman and having sex with her at a party in North Port. Sources tell the Herald-Tribune the party was attended by off-duty police and firefighters. The Herald-Tribune reports it’s been told by sources that the male officer handcuffed the unidentified woman, then he and the female officer escorted her to a bedroom, undressed her and started a sex act. A female North Port detective was told what happened after the party by someone attended. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
