Earlier this week we told you about ongoing concerns — and complaints — about thick algae that’s choking Sunshine Lake in the Parkside area. Now, an environmental study recommending cleanup efforts that could cost up to a million dollars is being sent to the County Commission for review. That action was taken last night as the Mid-County Stormwater Unit Advisory Board faced a full house of angry Parkside residents who are fed up with the algae that’s also seeping into Sunshine Waterway. By a unanimous vote, the Board decided to pass the cleanup plan on to the county for action.
