If you’ve always found yourself a bit scared when the clouds start to turn dark and roll in the sky, an opportunity to learn about what you’re seeing is coming up. SKYWARN Training for Residents of West Charlotte and South Sarasota Counties is scheduled for the afternoon pf March 14th. National Weather Service personnel will tell you what to look for and what clouds look scary, but really don’t pose any risks. Once you finish the training, you can become an official spotter, with an ID number to report conditions you see to the weather service when appropriate.
