Concerns about erosion on Snake Island in Venice are prompting a major relief plan. Snake Island is a popular spot for boaters. It’s also the site of a Native American archaeological mound that is wearing away. In an effort to stem the erosion and restore some of the island, the West Coast Inland Navigation District is working on a five-hundred-thousand-dollar plan to restore some of the damaged areas on Snake Island and keep erosion at bay.
