A guilty plea and six life sentences for a Charlotte County mass murderer. A judge handing those sentences to Jeremy Sly in the execution-style killings of a North Port man and three of his step-children and a Port Charlotte couple in 1991. Sly was already in prison after being convicted of an unrelated murder. He would have been eligible for parole in 2017 but his sentencing on the six new charges mean he’ll spend the rest of his life behind bars. The life sentences came in a plea deal that spared him the death penalty.
