Counterfeit currency led Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies to question a Siesta Key pedi-cab operator. The Herald Tribune reports officers came across 21-year old Jordan Tamez, who deputies say admitted to them that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Texas, where he’s a registered sex offender, sentenced to probation last year after being convicted of sexually assaulting a child. He left the state, violating his probation. He is charged with failing to register as a sex offender and possession of marijuana. He is being held at the Sarasota County Jail for Texas authorities.
