UPDATE: Both suspects are now in custody. The Fugitive Apprehension unit located Trae Ward hiding in a home in the 7000 block of 44th Court East in Bradenton this morning. The arrest was made with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Ryan Ward, DOB 4/21/94, 2515 24th Street, Sarasota, in connection with a shooting near 25th Street and Euclid Avenue in Sarasota Friday night.

Witnesses say Ryan and his brother Trae Ward shot at 44-year-old Henry Salem multiple times after Salem tried to intervene in an altercation between a male and a female. Salem was not hurt.

Ryan was arrested Saturday and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, his fourth arrest since 2010 on aggravated battery and weapons charges.

Detectives have a warrant for 21-year-old Trae Ward, who has four prior felony arrests for similar charges.
