Sarasota County has approved a new contract for federal lobbying services, in what it hopes will be a spend-money-to-make-money proposition. A new contract worth 105-thousand dollars was approved by County Commissioners. That deal will continue the county’s relationship with the Washington lobbying firm of Holland and Knight, which has been working with the county since 2007. Sarasota Commissioners approved the new contract without discussion.
