It’s a milestone of sorts, although police will tell you it’s by no means unique: A Sarasota man has been arrested for the fortieth time. Deputies say 32-year-old Stephen Brewster was arrested after a witness said he broke into a car. The witness followed him and called in a 9-1-1 report. Brewster is an ex-convict with an extensive criminal record that deputies say includes arrests for burglary and forgery, among other charges. Brewster’s fortieth arrest has now landed him in the Sarasota County Jail, denied bond due to numerous probation violations.
