Not guilty is the verdict for a man who claims he shot his stepfather 14 times in self defense. A Sarasota jury deliberated for almost six hours last night before acquitting 28-year-old Charles Dailey of second-degree murder in the death of 54-year-old Anthony Waters. Witnesses testified that Dailey has no history of violence and does not use drugs. Dailey himself called 911 minutes after 4 in the morning on April 13 to report the shooting, telling the operator that he shot his stepfather.
