The Florida Senate Committee on Regulated Industries will hold a hearing on the 21st on a bill Sarasota County to ban smoking on publicly owned properties. The county banned smoking in parks and public beaches in 2007, but a local judge found the ordinance inconsistent with the Florida Indoor Clean Air Act late last year. A similar bill’s been introduced in the Florida House.
