We haven’t had a Red Tide story to report for several days, which is good news. Even better is word now that with the exception of very low concentrations at Gasparilla Sound in Charlotte County, the organism that creates Red Tide was not detected in samples collected along the southern Florida Coast over the last few days. Satellite images do show a bloom patch offshore from Charlotte Harbor. The Fish and Wildlife Research Institute says it has not yet analyzed those samples.
