Police on the hunt for a man who tried to rob a check cashing store but was tricked by a quick-thinking employee. Reports say the man accosted the employee as she was about to open the check cashing store on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota. She told him she would disable the store’s alarm system. Instead, she used it to alert police. By the time they arrived, the suspect had become suspicious and got away. A helicopter search failed to find him and now, police are seeking a White male in his late 20s or 30s. At the time, he was wearing a black hoodie with a white surgical mask and gloves.
