Punta Gorda Police are investigating a death at the Seven Palms apartments on Slash Pine Circle, off Taylor Rd. A police spokesperson tells WINK the partially decomposed body of a man was found in one of the apartments, and that the death was initially considered somewhat suspicious. At this time, they do not suspect foul play. An investigator says the body was found as the result of a well-being check, since the man had not been heard from since Sunday. His identity will not be released until next of kin are notified.
