An emergency medical technician says a man he was treating in an ambulance threw and punch at him and tried to fight him. Sarasota police arresting 20-year-old David Bryant, who’s accused of punching the E-M-T while the medic was attempting to insert an I-V in Bryant’s arm. Bryant had reportedly told the ambulance crew he thought he was having a heart problem, then later admitted he had, in his words, “smoked something”. Turns out Bryant was wanted for a parole violation after an assault with a deadly weapon charge from last year.
