Worried about the economy. Sarasota County’s annual Citizens’ Opinion Survey shows that 39 percent of respondents are concerned about their jobs and the overall economy. Four years ago, that figure was seven percent. The survey conducted by the Florida Institute of Government at U-S-F, also found that only 45 percent of those surveyed thought that Sarasota County government was more responsive than state and national governments. That’s a ten percent drop from five years ago. The survey conducted for two weeks in August.
