Two men were arrested for Operating a Vessel While Impaired in separate incidents during the Sheriff’s Office’s participation in Operation Dry Water this past weekend. Operation Dry Water was a nationally coordinated effort to reduce the number of accidents and fatalities related to boating under the influence. The Operation ran June 28 to 30. During CCSO’s participation in Operation Dry Water, Marine Patrol deputies conducted 51 safety inspection checks in which 129 boaters were contacted.
