Sarasota County Fire oifficials say a 1-year-old suffered traumatic injuries after being shot in South Venice this afternoon. The Herald-Tribune reports the toddler was air-lifted to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. Details are limited, but firefighters were diptached to the SonShine Learning Center on Orange Road. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s office is investigating.
